Sheryl, start! ♥♥♥♥♥

I was looking through my fabrics and figured out that I had all the materials to make a corset for Sheryl. And not just any corset, but the one specific corset of hers I love. The corset for lion ♥(or the corset which Sheryl wears in the 2nd op) This is one of the cosplays I've been wanting to do for so long ♥♥♥ And now I have the perfect excuse to make it happen ♥♥♥
This amazing corset ♥ - and outfit ♥ - and sheryl ♥
The Fabrics I found laying in my closet. In order from left to right, red fabric, red chiffon, the main fabric, white cotton to sew the rigilene boning in, lining and interfacing fabric to add support. The rigilene boning itself is also visible in the picture. Though I used also black rigilene boning when I run out of white since the main fabric is thick enough so It wouldn't be visible. The color of the main fabric is a slightly off, but I think it goes. I decided to add the red chiffon on top of red fabric so it would look more formal and fitting to the main fabric.

The Fabrics I found laying in my closet
I first started with the cotton layer which I had cut and sewn together to form a basic corset. Then I drew the shape I wanted sheryls corset to be on the cotton fabric. And based on that I created new patterns which I used to cut the lining and main fabric. That sounds quite complicated but basically what I did was I found the pattern for some basic corset, sew it together and then drew lines with pencil while wearing it and that's how I did the pattern seen below:

Cotton fabric and some lines I drew on it
After patterns were done I Sewed some bones on the cotton layer and cut all the fabrics (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧

all the pieces cut :3
Then I sew all the pieces together. To make the sewing easier I marked the waistline on each piece

almost everything sewn together
I ironed and cut the extra seam allowances and pinned the main fabric to the cotton layer. Then I sewed those fabrics together so that the red details (that I sew on later) would hide the seams. To get the main fabric match the cotton layer I used a lot of pins and time.

mission completed.
After that I cut pieces from red fabric and chiffon that were 4 cm wide. Then I ironed them and sewed them on the corset. Then I trimmed the excess chiffon. The first side of each red line was sewn by machine and the second side was sewn by hand. It was time consuming but I didn't want any stiching to be visible so it was worth it ❤(-_-)

And this is how it looks now
TADAH!
A lot of work still ahead, but it's getting there :3

I'm a little late.. but HAPPY HALLOWEEN ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

.. and by a little I mean a lot. but better late than never, right? ٩(♡ε♡ )۶

Anyways, I dressed up as Ash Ketchum for halloween! It was a costume made in a rush, but I'm quite pleased with it. Pokemon was my favorite show when I was young and I still occasionally watch it.

I made his jacket from hoodie I found from second hand store and added some details to make it look right. The only cap I own happened to be red, so I altered it. Pikachu was also purchased from second hand store.

Here's a couple more pictures of the costume. Unfortunately I forgot to take full body pics, so the costume cannot be fully seen.

Future plans~

The conventions for this year has ended for me and it's time to look forward and focus on the next years conventions, and especially characters to be cosplayed. I haven't yet decided which conventions I'm going to attend next year. But when it comes to characters I have few in mind~

First is Miyuki Shiba from Mahou ka koukou no rettousei. I found this series when I was in Japan: At the bookstore I randomly purchased couple mangas that looked attractive. and mahou ka koukou no rettousei was one of those mangas. The manga itself was hard for me to understand but luckily there is an anime which I later started watching. and got hooked with...

As for Miyuki, I have love-hate relationship with her. She's usually very polite and  sweet and her ice magic skills すごい!!♥♥♥ BUT she's so annoying with all the ONIISAMAONIISAMAONIISAMA!!! (´・益・`*) (if you have watched the series you know what I'm talking about XD) Anyways at the moment she's my number one in the IWANTTOCOSPLAY-list.

Miyuki Shiba
I have wanted to cosplay Asuna Yuuki (from SAO) in her Alfheim online fairy queen outfit for a while. Asuna is one of my favorite characters of all time and not surprisingly sword art online is probably my favorite anime ( ˘ ³˘)❤ I own suitable wig for this cosplay already since I have Asunas regular outfit (aincrad versio) hanging in my closet. That means I don't have to but a new wig so I am even more tempted to make this, not to mention my love for wings. The only thing I worry is how to make the ears and what if it's cold when I wear it? But I want to make it so bad (゚´Д`゚)゚
Asuna Yuuki, Alfheim Online/ Fairy queen

I have also thought making of Rabi~en~rose or Usada from Di Gi Charat... For a couple years now. Hopefully this time I get it done for real

Usada

Next time I'll be posting something about my halloween costume, so stay tuned~~

HUUUGE PANTHEON GLAIVE WARRIOR WIP!!!!!!1!!1!!!! part 3/3

The last part of pantheon WIPs, LET'S GO!

HELMET

The Helmet was made from cardboard, expanding foam, wood filler, masking tape, craft foam, tiny bit of black fabric and paint. The base was made with tape and cardboard straight to  my bf's head. Then some additional cardboard was added so that the expanding foam was easier to add and later on cut to its shape.

When the expanding foam was added It looked funny :3

Then cutting happened and it started to look more wolflike

Then it was covered with masking tape

and wood filler was added and sanded when dry

First we put basic white base coat of paint and after it was dry we put a brown paint

Then we added some highlight with lighter color and shadows with darker color

After the basic head was done we used craft foam to make the front and back parts of the helmet

The back parts were curved using heat

Then the parts were painted using the same technique as painting the helmet itself

while attaching craft foam pieces together we found out that superglue works out better than hot glue and its much less messier.

A lot of pictures is missing but the black fabric was added to the front and the back parts were attached to each other with fabric also. The teeth were made out of paper mache and they were superglued on to the head. There is also a lining.

Anyways the finished product looks like this:

Next I'm gonna put a couple pictures of making the clothing and shoes. The shoes were made the same way as asunas shoes (link)

We used the picture below and Pantheons Lolking model as models and kinda mixed the best parts of the two to make the pantheon cosplay. for example we did the helmet by the lolking model and the shoes according to the other picture.
